Granite types

There are various different types of granite countertops. From Basalt to Shiest and everything in the middle, with this noted this type of surface in the granite countertop industry is generally always referred to as simply, Granite. We are not Geologysts per say, but many of us love to study the structures of this beautiful material we love to simply call Granite.

Installation process

The process for your new granite countertops is simple with this noted we will guide you to make sure all the necessary steps are in place prior to installing your granite countertop. The morning of the install we will show up at your home while you sit back and relax. We will leave your home spotless as if we were not even there. 

Care and Maintenance

Granite is one of the easiest countertops to take care of in light of this, our rule of thumb is simply to wipe up any drink or food from the granite countertop as they occur. Use only granite safe cleaners and if you dont have them simply use mild dishsoap and water. We apply a long term sealer on all our installed granite countertops and will give you directions for future maintenance.

Quartz Types

Quartz countertops are a composite product, using natural stone and resins to gain such beautiful and consistent colors. There are many different brands of quartz countertops as well as many pros and cons. We have used many quartz countertop brands over the years in other words, if you have a specific brand of quartz you would like to use, let us know and we will find it. We love trying new material and working with new colors. Here is a link to one of our quartz countertop suppliers. 

Installation Process

Installation process for your quartz countertop is similar to that of granite countertops in either case the fabrication process on our side is only slightly different while the install will take place identically to granite countertops. We will give you all the instruction you need such as, removing appliances, un-hooking the plumbing for your sink and removing your old countertops – unless you will hire us to do them for you. 

Care and Maintenance

Care for a quartz countertop is even simpler than that of a granite countertop as it will never require long term maintenance unquestionably we recommend you clean your quartz countertop only with Quartz safe cleaners. If you do not have any of those mild dishsoap will do fine for Quartz as well as a granite countertop!

Marble

Marble Countertop Types

Marble is the softer and younger type of stone in comparison to a granite countertops and a quartz countertop. It is also the one which most countertops fabricators hear mentioned the most. We love marble, despite its porous surface. Though we call is soft/porous does not mean it is not suitable for countertops. As it is suitable for all types of surfaces, even ancient buildings which are still standing in pristine condition today. 

Installation Process

Similar to all the other natural stone surfaces like granite and even Quartz. We do place a lot more care to explaining expectations and making sure you know all the possibilities of this beautiful and everlasting material.

Care and Maintenance

For Marble we recommend to wipe up all spills immediately in this case do not use harsh chemicals to clean it with, even it is says Marble safe, do a test spot to be sure. Make sure you get familiar with the process of sealing your particular stone. We will guide you and give all the information we can. Each stone is different as is each color of material in this situation not all size fits one.

Quartzite And Limestone

Quartzite & Lime Stone Countertop Types

Though Quartzite and Limestone are totally different in structure, we generally classify then under the “Other Natural Stone” umbrella. As well as Quartzite has the name Quartz in it, it is not the same as the man made Quartz product. These products have their own function and best are to be identified on their own

Installation Process

Depending on which stone you select we may have to take extra precautions for that particular surface. Other than that, generally it is the same as working with granite. 

Care and Maintenance

Almost all of these surfaces will have different care and maintenance with this said we will share our most knowledgeable wisdom with you. The best rule of thumb is no acid, no harsh cleaners. Mild dish soap is generally the safe solution.  

Porcelain Shower Panels

Porcelain Shower Panel Types

This material has several brands as well as the millions of brands of tile. This product is a porcelain sheet that is able to be cut to the length and width of your shower just as a granite countertop is fabricated out of a slab. The joints will be only in the corners with these panels. These are the new best thing in the shower industry!

Installation Process

Much more time efficient and quite a bit less messy than a standard tile showe is what you will get with this shower panel product. In comparison to the regular shower, Porcelain shower panels have no grout and the only joint you will see will be in the corners. Sit back and watch your shower transform with grace and ease. Care and Maintenance

Recommending the simple method of squeegeeing after a shower as the most effective way to keep your shower looking clean. To point out that it is Easy-Peasy! This followed by a weekly or monthly corner scrubbing and your shower will look like you nearest hotel room.
