To whom it concerns,
Architects Smith Metzger has worked on many public bid projects which often makes the job of quality control very difficult. We all know the best assurance of success is an experienced installer, but with public bids sometimes this isn’t the case.
Quality installation of the ceramic tile floor covering for the University of Iowa Library Learning Commons was of upmost importance. The owner had reservations on how the installation could be completed considering the large area, condition of the substrate, and large format tiles we selected (24” x 48”).
Fortunately, Quality Marble and Tile won the bid. They were confident from the beginning they could meet the performance requirements. Thanks to their attention to detail and our precise specifications, Quality Marble and Tile not only met but exceeded all expectations. The quality of the work was amazing.
